It only takes about half an hour by train to Pompeii from Sorrento. A city completely buried after being erupted by a volcano in 79 AD. This mysterious ancient castle, which has been sleeping for more than 1600 years, was discovered by archaeologists only 200 years ago. Only a small part of it is now being excavated. This ancient site is known as the world's largest "open-air museum."
