Review
A Visit to Rangitoto Island most recent and largest of approximately 50 volcanoes of the Auckland volcanic field is well worth it and the view from the summit is breathtaking. It's well worth the 350+ boardwalk step climb. We did a day boat trip which included Waiheke Island where we had a divine lunch between the vines and the sea. We also visited Bay of Islands hole in the Rock which is majestic and scary on the day we went and too rough to navigate through.
Tips for other travellers
The boardwalk is a climb of 350+ steps but well worth it!
