Review
Cairo seems to be the same after 10 years. It has lots of tourist attractions, but the city itself is still dusty and dirty. I probably will go back only for the new Egyptian Museum, supposedly the largest archaeological museum in the world, opening in 2020
Tips for other travellers
I prefer to stay away from the city after the new Egyptian Museum opens, which is near the Pyramids.
