Rich history, majestic monuments, buildings, palaces, churches, cathedrals, beautiful parks,.. the list of attractions is endless...Hermitage is the second largest museum in the world, you could spend the whole day there but won't be able to see every part of this winter Palace. Its surrounded by waterways, and is named Venice of the North, absolutely beautiful.
The only thing I didn't like about St Petersberg is the weather. We arrived in the middle of summer, during the world Cup, it was nice for one day and half, sunny and warm, but windy, very cold and raining for two days 😪

Hermitage is a must. Its free to enter on first Thurs of the month. Its open till 9pm on Wednesdays and Fridays, and 6pm on other days. You can avoid the queue buying tickets online but if you can not get tickets for diamond or gold rooms {at affitiinal costs} online. The queue is shorter in the afternoon. Go late afternoon on Wed or Fri if you go for a short visit.

Easiest way to go Peterhof Palace is by boat, from the dick next to the Palace bridge outside Hermitage
