This was my third year running flying Aus-UK return with Vietnam Airlines and I would thoroughly recommend the airline to anyone.
Tips for other travellers
If you are travelling straight through to Europe and have several hours in Vietnam to change flights,, take advantage of the airline’s offer, at no cost, of a hotel room, or a guided tour of the Vietnam stopover city. You need to book it in advance and it will all be organised on arrival in Vietnam. Better still, have at least an overnight stopover.
Vietnam Airlines Business Class Reviews Business Class from London, United Kingdom to Sydney, Australia on 05 Aug 2018VN 050, 773BOEING 787This was my third year running flying Aus-UK return with Vietnam Airlines and I would thoroughly recommend the airline to anyone.
I have found Vietnam Airlines business class to be excellent value for money, having twice done the Sydney-London return route, last year stopping off on the way home in Hanoi and this year in Ho Chi Minh City. The comfort, food and service are excellent. The only drawback, unless you are having a stopover on the way, is the bad connection times for flights. The airline offers free hotel accommodation, with transport and and a meal - or a personal escorted tour of the city - for the usually 6+ hour waiting time, which when i did it last year was perfect but this year there were other passengers involved in the hotel stay and about an hour was wasted waiting for them to all be together to get on the minibus to go to the hotel, which i found annoying. A stopover of at least one night is a much better option for me, as I find the two flights from Australia to the UK to be too long to be sitting.
