I’d only go back to shop for interior design stuff, love the Moroccan art carved plaster, tiles, lamps etc, good for leather goods too, good leather, but products not that well-made, food is a mix of local and European cuisine. Local food bit oily.. Medina has very narrow allies, quite dirty.
Local women generally wear head piece when outdoors and cover themselves
I recommend staying at the best hotel in town - Riad Fes, a Relais & Chateaux property
