Beautiful tropical island, great for honeymooners. Most tourists stay in the resorts, which are an hour drive from airport/Stone Town. There’re not any other towns where tourists go coffee or dining or shopping. Stone town has a great local market.If you are staying for a week, it’s best if you stay in Stone town for 2 nights and the resort for 5 nights.
The resorts have a common issue, during low tide, you have to walk a long way before the ocean has decent depth for swimming.
Zanzibar is a great destination for your safari extension.
